The contribution of the Innovative Integrated Training in Medicinal Plants program to local development was acknowledged and the stakeholders involved: the University of Thessaly, Biognosis and the International Hippocratic Society of Homeopathy were award in a ceremony that took place in Larisa’s concert hall.

The “Total Business Plants” project is applied in the Key Action 2: Cooperation for Innovation & the Exchange of Good Practices of the European framework of Erasmus+.

The project attempts to provide an integrated approach towards the familiarization of various target groups (farmers, habitants of rural areas, farmers associations, small local enterprises, etc.) with the management and cultivation of aromatic & therapeutic plants through an innovative training program based on modern technologies.

The University of Thessaly as coordinator partner launched the project with the organization of the Kick-off Meeting and the participation of all the partners of the consortium. Particularly in the meeting participated Biognosis (Greece), Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (Bulgaria), FyG Consultores (Spain) and Danmar Computers (Poland).

The project is considered very innovative due to the proposed development of a transnational strategic VET partnership in the relatively new field of medicinal plants and is planned to last two years providing significant added valued in this particular economic sector.
